First is aluminum ingot price, which is the basis of aluminum baffle price, accounting for 60%-70% of total cost. Second is base material thickness, thickness has a great influence on price, every 0.1mm thickness difference, price per square meter differs by 5-8 yuan. For example, same specification baffle with 0.6mm thickness and 0.8mm thickness, price per square meter differs by 10-16 yuan. Many manufacturers don't report actual thickness when quoting, report nominal thickness, for example, nominal 0.8mm actual only 0.6mm, price differs a lot, this is the most common price trap, sign contract must write clearly actual thickness, allowable thickness tolerance, use micrometer to check thickness during acceptance. Some manufacturers use recycled aluminum as base material, recycled aluminum price is 2000-3000 yuan/ton cheaper than regular aluminum ingot, cost per square meter differs by 3-5 yuan, but recycled aluminum has many impurities, easy to corrode, poor strength, no quality guarantee.

Third is surface treatment, which is the part with largest price difference. Different surface treatments have large price difference: ordinary indoor powder coating processing fee is about 15-25 yuan/square meter (expanded area), super weather-resistant powder 30-45 yuan/square meter, fluorocarbon spraying 60-90 yuan/square meter, wood grain transfer 40-60 yuan/square meter, thermal transfer wood grain is more expensive than powder, fluorocarbon is 2-3 times of powder. Same powder coating, different brands of powder have large price difference, imported powders such as AkzoNobel, Tiger are twice as expensive as domestic small factory powders, weather resistance and color retention also differ a lot. Surface treatment is the easiest place to cut corners, for example, quotation is fluorocarbon, actually uses powder to pretend, or quotation is imported powder actually uses domestic powder, price differs by twice, surface looks similar, will fade and paint off after a long time.

Fourth is specification size, the larger the bottom width and height of baffles, the higher the price. For example, small baffles with bottom width 30mm height 50mm and large baffles with bottom width 200mm height 300mm, price per square meter differs by more than twice. Small baffles process fast, high yield, large baffles process slow, low yield, need thicker plates, so price is high. Also length, conventional length within 6 meters is one price, more than 6 meters need special customization, price is 20%-50% higher, because long materials are difficult to transport, processing difficulty is large, low yield.

Fifth is processing difficulty, ordinary straight U-shaped baffles process simply, cheap; if need stretch bending, punching, carving, special modeling, price will increase. Curved baffle price is 1.5-3 times of straight type, the smaller the curvature radius the higher the price; punched baffles increase 10-30 yuan/square meter according to punching rate; carving, special modeling price is higher, need mold opening or CNC processing. Many manufacturers only quote ordinary straight price, special processing adds extra money, confirm price of all processing content before signing contract.

Sixth is installation system, many manufacturers only quote baffle itself price, not including keels, accessories, installation fee, finally add keel accessories installation fee, price goes up. Complete U-shaped baffle system includes baffles, keels, hangers, suspenders, expansion bolts and other accessories, keels and accessories are about 15-25 yuan/square meter, installation fee is about 20-30 yuan/square meter (indoor simple ceiling), if it is high-altitude operation, complex modeling, installation fee is higher. When purchasing, don't only look at total price, write parameters clearly: aluminum alloy grade, actual thickness, surface treatment type and powder brand, specification size, spacing, including keel accessories or not, including installation or not, including freight tax or not, compare price with same parameters, so you won't be cheated by low price traps.
